Investment Helps Birmingham Coil Processing Facility Increase Capability and Improve Efficiency

The latest investment into a bespoke cut to length line from Dimeco is helping Allied Copper Alloys improve their quality, produce parts quicker and increase capability with the opportunity to provide to a wider market sector. 

Based in the heart of the Midlands and the famous hub for manufacturing, Birmingham based Allied Copper Alloys Ltd is a leading stockholder and strip in coil processor of copper, brass, phosphor bronze, nickel silver, stainless steel and aluminium. Through partnerships with leading global producers, Allied supply material manufactured to the highest standard, processed in-house. The firm is able to slit required widths from coil in a range of thicknesses as well. The new cut to length line will help strengthen and bolster their capabilities for years to come. 

Supplying into a range of industries from automotive, photo etching, badge/medal and cutlery manufacture the upgraded machine achieves tighter cutting tolerances and a flatter finish compared with their previous machine. With over 20 years of experience, the firm is well placed to supply to an array of sectors. Ben Osbourn, Business Development from Allied Copper Alloys, said:

“Our latest investment allows us to cut a sheet from the coil in thicknesses ranging from 0.2mm – 3mm. Widths from 12.70mm – 620mm and cuts lengths up to 3,500mm. We welcome any free issue work but equally we stock a range of grades, thicknesses and tempers.”
